You can follow my experiment on Phenibut to treat GAD in my blog.
I know phenibut is the best out of all other prescribed meds I've tried personally for my anxiety. I used it for a few weeks dosing every day for weeks, but this was years ago. Now I know more about potential tolerance build up and aren't quite sure about one thing.
What I'm not sure about is this. If I find the particular dose for me that works for anxiety, and to prevent tolerance from building up too quickly I take my dose every-other-day, would the dose from the previous day still help anxiety on the off-day when I don't dose?
I'll have to do some dose experiments for myself and see how fast I personally build tolerance and what dose works well for my anxiety. But has anybody found themselves not having to dose the day after dosing because the previous days dose is still in effect?
I think these doses I'm reading people recommend (and on some supplements from stores) are ridiculous. One source says up to 4 grams just for sleep! The other says to take up to 1 gram twice-three times per day! I really don't think there is any research backing up these dose recommendations. Any vendor/company telling their customers to take such large doses IMO seems like they are setting them up for addiction so they keep coming back. I know what dose of phenibut gives me recreational effects. And its on par with what most vendors are recommending. When in reality far lower doses relieve the anxiety
First I think I'm going to take 250mg at breakfast. I'll see how long it takes to kick in, how strong the effects are, how long it takes for the effects to peak and fall, than wait as long as it takes for my anxiety to come back. I don't think its smart to take a drug like this with not so much clinical research and dose by the recommendations of the seller. Because ya know, the seller knows my exact situation and level of anxiety along with body weight and tolerance buildup over time to recommend me a dose *sarcasm*
The dose needs to be custom for the individual. And this is so true for prescribed medications yet that does not happen. So if you have experience and know of a better way I can figure out a personal dose regimen i'll be thankful for the suggestion.
Also how might I organize and record dosing data (amount per dose, how many times per day, how many days out of the week + my phsical body weight and such) so when I feel like tolerance is building up I can reflect on this data to say "This is what your dosing regimen should be because x amount of phenibut dosed this often causes tolerance build up at this rate...etc)
I really wan't to try multiple dosing regimens and document the data from multiple doses daily, or every other day or only one dose on one specific day of the week. What I'm trying to do is simply find out the least amount of phenibut I can take consistently. Nothings worse than overkill when taking a chemical of any kind for long term treatment.
